I joined Pathways with my sister, Maliah, and together, we navigated our senior year, supporting each other along the way. One of the most rewarding aspects of my time at Pathways was my involvement as a student leader in both the Art Club and Dance Club. I didn’t just participate; I took on leadership roles because I genuinely wanted to make a difference. I wanted to uplift those around me and be there for my peers. My teacher, Ms. Crystal, played a huge role in my journey. She always encouraged me and reminded me of my potential, even when I doubted myself. Math was a particularly tough subject for me. There were so many times I struggled and felt like giving up, but Ms. Crystal never gave up on me. She was always there to help me when I needed it, offering not just academic support, but the motivation to keep going. We had the chance to go on amazing trips to Washington D.C. and New York, and we also volunteered together. These moments brought us closer and made our time at Pathways even more memorable. I’ve been accepted to Gateway Community College, where I’ll be pursuing my passion for cosmetology.  During my time at Pathways I have learned many things but one thing that will stick with me is that we all matter. and we all have the opportunity to succeed.
